Position Summary:
- The Director of Digital Media is an exceptional digital team leader that will grow our digital marketing services and champion our team as forerunners in the industry. Extensive digital marketing and strategic consulting experience will be used to deepen existing client relationships and expand our reputation as thought leaders. Through engagement with clients and agency colleagues, this role identifies leading strategies for how our clients can best plan and execute their digital marketing. The Director of Digital Media supervises and mentors the Ad Operations, Digital Strategy, Search, and Content Team Leads.
- This role is based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Development and Account Growth
- Work across accounts, driving insights from data to guide and improve strategies, ultimately driving results and increasing scope of work
- Guide team members and clients through customer experience mapping and user experience planning
- Collaborate with the Account Service department to guide account strategy across all digital disciplines
- Conduct data audits and work to outline online ecosystems
- Strong presentation skills
- Management Role including Continued Education, Mentorship, and Team Growth
- Work to establish processes, methodologies, and best practices
- Guide continued digital education for the agency and clients
- Lead, motivate, and grow a team of expert planners to create clear, robust and thought-provoking campaign reviews and actionable insights
- Inspire; act as a role model; serve as a source of experience, knowledge, instruction, and direction
- Ensure client deliverables are of highest quality
- Identify and communicate key responsibilities and practices to ensure the immediate team of direct reports promote a successful attitude, confidence in leadership and teamwork to achieve results
- Drive the exploration and deployment of “best in class” planning capabilities across the agency including the use of new channels, methods, techniques, tools and systems
- Oversee and provide mentorship to the Digital Strategy, Search, Ad Operations and Content team leads
- Compile information from digital team members to assist in crafting digital case studies
- Work with each media director/team lead to grow retainers
- Work with New Business team to better monetize and sell Content services
- Plans for the future of the department with consideration of agency growth, the industry evolution, and skills of current staff members
- Digital Integration
- Integrate efforts across social media, paid, organic content, SEO, paid search, digital media and user experience
- Oversee integrated digital recommendations and reporting
- Ensure planning recommendations from digital team members are clear, measurable and cohesive based on campaign objectives
- Oversee digital tracking process to ensure all relevant, measurable actions are properly tracking across all teams and platforms
- Manage regular digital status meetings to ensure communication, expectations and timelines are clear on all digital campaigns
- Identify and address possible efficiencies within digital teams and processes
Required Skills:
- Must have strong business writing and communication skills
- Must have strong organizational and quantitative/analytical skills
- Must have extremely strong attention to detail
- Great attitude, desire to learn and ability to work in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PPT
- Experience with Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Google Data Studio preferred
- Google Ads Certification preferred
Education, Qualifications and Certifications:
▪ Bachelor’s degree in marketing or advertising
▪ 8-10 years of experience
