This particular position will solely within our New Business Marketing and Sales Team and will be responsible for the ideation and execution of all VI marketing and sales materials.

We are looking for someone with the following skillsets:

  • DESIGN SKILLS – multi-page layout skills, communication design, design theory, color theory, illustration, photography, typography, printing techniques and basic pre-press knowledge, strong eye for visual composition
  • SOFT SKILLS – High-level communication skills, time management skills, attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, ability to collaborate, professional flexibility, ability to multitask, artistry and creativity, analytical skills, open-mindedness, and a willingness to accept feedback and make changes to designs
  • Create designs, concepts, and materials based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts
  • A working understanding of how to communicate and design for digital and social platforms
  • Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size of type
  • Understanding of basic pre-press and file preparation for printer
  • Create graphs, illustrations, and other artwork for use in proposals and marketing materials
  • Develop concepts by studying relevant information and materials
  • Visually communicate ideas and conceptualize design materials based on varying project needs
  • Develop and design illustrations, multi-page layouts, social posts, infographics, logos, and other designs using software or by hand
  • Work independently to produce designs and amend designs after feedback
  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are functional, visually appealing, and on-brand
  • Package and prepare final layouts for printer

Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or related field is preferred.

Extensive coursework and equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

Bring us a minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience working in an advertising agency, in-house marketing department or design firm. At least five years of experience in the most recent version of Adobe Creative Suite and some motion graphics experience (Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, etc.)

Additionally, the right person will have a Portfolio of at least ten samples of original graphic design work (published or coursework) – must include but not limited to examples showcasing typography skills in page layout, digital design, and branding materials. The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills. And strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through.
