SEO Strategist

Position Summary:
- VI Marketing and Branding is looking for an experienced and resourceful SEO Strategist. This position will develop data-driven SEO strategies and growth initiatives for multiple domains.
- The SEO Strategist will utilize a variety of internal and external SEO tools to analyze and forecast opportunities, quantify performance, monitor campaigns and suggest strategic and tactical initiatives as a result of campaign analysis and observations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor SEO performance on a site-wide and page-by-page basis
- Implement triggers and alerts that highlight underperforming keywords and pagess
- Develop strategic and tactical recommendations for clients
- Forecast ROI of organic search tactics and strategies
- Link building, internal linking, site-mapping, site auditing, on- and off-page SEO content optimization
- Keyword research and content discovery
- Create new and/or optimize existing content for search
- Report on organic search channel performance and provide insights on an ongoing basis
- Technical site audits
- Work cross-functionally with paid search, web development, content and public relations teams
- Must possess strong business writing skills
- Aggregate and visualize data using reporting tools to derive insights for digital campaign reports

Education, Qualifications and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field
- 2+ years of SEO experience preferred (relevant internship and coursework will be considered)
Required Skills:
- Must have strong business writing and communication skills
- Must have strong organizational and quantitative/analytical skills
- Proficient in UX, data processing and analysis, Google Core Vitals and digital media execution
- Maintain strong knowledge of SEO trends and on-going best practices
- Technical knowledge of SEO concepts and implementation
- Great attitude, desire to learn and ability to work in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PPT
- Relevant SEO
- Demonstrate knowledge of SEMrush or other applicable SEM/SEO analysis tools (e.g. Moz, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, etc.)
- Ability to work within WordPress and/or other major CMSs.
